It works fine as a protective case, but if you buy the white color, they won't stay white for long. Mine started to get dirty and stained from the day one, even before I hold in my hand so much, and as easy as those stains/dirt to come one, they are impossible to clean.

I wanted a case that would let me keep the size and form on the iPhone as much as I could while still giving it some protection. This is my second purchase of this case as I broke the section of my first right around the volume buttons. I did apply a decal to the back of my iPhone to protect it from rubbing as small debris will always find its way in between it and your phone. I can't wait until they make one similar for my iPhone 4.
I'm waiting in line for the case now. Shield- If you want to help me out and send it to me now I would be happy to write a review :)

Para los que deseen que su iPhone siempre se mantenga como nuevo o por lo menos con menos rayones o golpes de lo normal este es un bonito complementeo para los iPhone, usando uno de los protectores que cubren todo el telefono y sobre esas pieles protectoras se coloca este sobre para una doble proteccion, recomendable, claro hay mas opciones de estos pero es gusto de cada quien.

I ordered the clear case to protect the back of my white 3GS from scratches. As expected the area covered by the case is scratch-free after months of use (though the case has dutifully taken a beating and shows with the small cracks and scratches it received). The area not covered (IE the Apple logo) is a little scratched but hardly noticeable. It's about time to replace mine now because, as I said above it's showing its wear (which is a plus in my book, otherwise all those scratches would have been on my phone) and I'm thinking I may move to a different case. Since I want a clear polycarbonate case I don't really need a cutout for the Apple logo but YMMV depending on how clearly you wish to display your Apple love. On the other hand the price alone may reel me back in. Either way, it's a nice case for the price but don't expect serious impact protection from it since it's just a small piece of plastic. It will, however, keep scratches off your expensive toy.
