I'm going back to my blade. I tried this product hoping that I would get away from the ingrown hairs that I keep getting. My facial hair is very curly and I get a lot of ingrown hairs. But I just could not get all the hairs with this electric razor. I will give it to my son who has a better time with electrics.

I have used Norelco shavers for many years and when my last one stopped working I looked again on line for another one primarily for travel. (I have 2)
This one works well as I expected, but there are a couple of improvements that you might consider.
1) You advertise a larger area of the shaving head to cut more at a time. I found that the area around the blades is too wide that it hinders my shaving next to my nose.
2) This one worked for a long time after my first charge, but it has no blinking red light to let me know when my next charge is necessary. It just died. This is hardly something I want to happen on my next camping trip where there is no electricity to plug into. I'll have to remember to charge before any trip I take.
Otherwise it is a great, comfortable shave.

I gave up blade razor shaving 10 years ago and have owned several electric razors, including a Norelco some years back. The batteries finally gave out on a Remington I owned most recently and I returned to Norelco after looking at many reviews. The 8240XL I got from Amazon 4 weeks ago is outstanding in every way. It gives close, comfortable shaves, is compact and easy to clean, and has amazing battery life. I have charged it once since purchase and it continues to operate with plenty of power. I am very satisfied and Amazon delivered it without delay in perfect condition.

My boyfriend is very fussy about his electronics, so I tend to avoid surprising him with them. I told him that I was going to get him a new electric shaver, and he requested that I get one with more shaving area. Oh gosh, look what I found on Amazon!
The shaver came in its packaging, as displayed, and was delivered promptly. I subtly replaced my boyfriend's old shaver with this one and when he finally saw it and tried it out, he loved it. He loves the increased shaving area (he was twisting his old one around a lot because of the single ring of shaving space) and says that it's so much more comfortable and easier to use. It looks really good too, and the little carrying pouch that comes with it is great for travel - something he didn't have before.
It's a good buy :)
