The newest version boasts 600 new playing cards and a Family Pack! View larger. | A Colorful, Silly, Creative Game Cranium Classic has long been known for its goofy, unpredictable activities, challenging even the most well-rounded players to step up their game. This latest version includes 600 updated playing cards--making the adventures all-new again--and the bonus Family Pack is a shoe-in for family-only game nights. Though the game features new playing cards, gameplay is still the same--roll the 10-sided, colorful die, pick the matching colored card, and complete the activity listed to advance to the next Planet Cranium. Once you get to Cranium Central, successfully complete the final task and lead your team to victory! The bright, fun colors and cartoonish characters only add to the overall silliness and goofiness of the game, encouraging those playing to let their guard down and have a good time. Build It, Sing It, Perform It, Draw It Cranium is great for large groups or events--whether it's a party, a reunion, or just even a family game night. The game constantly challenges players in trivia and creativity, creating a fun and spontaneous atmosphere. However, keep in mind this particular version of Cranium is designed for ages 16 and up, so if you have younger children, you may want to play one of the other versions. There is also a warning listed about the clay containing wheat--just a thoughtful heads-up for anyone with wheat allergies. What's in the Box Game board, 600 cards, 10-sided die, two tubs of clay, timer, pencils and paper pads, four play pieces, and a 60-card bonus Family Pack.

Hours of Fun September 4, 2010 E. Avolio (Las Vegas, NV) This is a great game! We have enjoyed it so much. It is great to use for homeschool parties. It gets all the kids involved and has a lot of action. Everyone finds something the love about the game. The only things I recommend it getting your own play-doh. The one in this box dried up quickly. It is nice to grab a 4 pack for $2-3 so each team has their own anyway. :) Enjoy!
Fun for all! August 6, 2010 EJW (Massachusetts) We played this game for the first time on vacation with friends and our teenage children. A great game for all and something we all enjoyed thoroughly. Couldn't wait to get it for our home and it's been used often since it arrived. There aren't many games that bring a family together when the kids hit that in between age from childhood to adulthood but this is one of them.
Good game! March 9, 2010 Jackie Barton (Denver, CO) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great game for game night. Adults and older kids can play together. It's fun because it is varied--if you do not excel in the creative areas, for example, there are three other categories to excel in. It includes categories like Words, Trivia, Creativity and Stars. It is one of the few games that doesn't get tiresome or boring quickly. I gave the durability a lower rating because my game arrived in the mail with a broken timer and I have to buy another one somewhere. Otherwise, it is fairly durable as long as you don't get the cards and board wet...
Amazing February 17, 2010 D. Live My husband and I were introduced to this game through my cousins. There is singing, acting, drawing, and another word catagory. We had so much fun that we are actually going to buy the game for ourselves. With just 4 people, we had the more fun then most other games we have played. If you want lots of laughs, with somewhat of a challenge, its an excellent game. Naturally, not everyone is going to be good at all the catagorys but that is why you get to pick which partner does what. So if one is loves music and the other loves to draw, you have two catagorys already claimed. Its a lot of fun and I highly recommend it.
Excellent Adult Game February 16, 2010 R. Saini (Vancouver, BC, Canada) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We bought this game around Christmas time...my wife had always wanted to buy it but I was hesitant, but we saw a good price so I decided why not even though I knew nothing about the game. It's actually a fun trivia based turn-game that turned into hours of fun. (It's also an excellent drinking game which we play with the guys vs the girls format...)
PRO's:
-Excellent game for adults
-Kids will enjoy this too, although some questions may be over their head
CON's:
-If you play this a lot, you may start duplicating cards. I'm not sure if you can buy more cards on it's own, but the questions are varied enough that this shouldn't be an issue
OVERALL:
Definitely a worthy investment for your bookshelf for when company is over.
