I am basing this rating on speculation...this is a gift for my grandaughter form "SANTA" so I have not seen her reaction ...yet!!!! I am sure she will love it ...that is all she has asked for from

I only got these things because I was standing in the customer service line at Toys R Us and all the other mothers were going coo coo for these things and wanted them so bad. They described them as these cute little critters that roam around your house and make different noises. How cute, right? Who wouldn't want a little rat running around your home that doesn't poop all over the place? By the way, they were $9.99 each at Toys R Us. The prices on Amazon are totally ridiculous.
So, I go to work and decide to try one out. First of all it was Fort Knox trying to get the dang thing out of the box. Once I pull it out, it starts making all these noises and the serrated (yes serrated) wheels start to spin out of control and practically sucked my thumb in and pinched it. I put it on the floor and it starts running around, backing up, squeeling and running around the room. All together now..."Awwwwwww." Yes, it was very cute. Until it fell over on it's side and died. So, I picked it up and the damn thing sucked my thumb in again and pinched me a second time. THEN, I'm trying to figure out how to turn it off and it sucks my shirt in!!! So, now I'm shirtless and standing in my office. Okay...not exactly shirtless, but still.
I would not recommend this for a child. Or a 33 year-old. Or a 50 year old. They are just evil little toys that will soon take over the world if we don't stop them from breeding.

Okay guys. . .I understand that there is price gouging going on but the actual toy hamsters are great! I gave these hamsters and some of the accessories to five different children and they absolutely loved them! There are rumors of these toys being poisonous. Only one the dark brown hamster was in question and the FDA had a retest and determined that the company making the allegations of poison improperly tested therefore the FDA, satisfied that there is no risk) did not recall the toy. As for the allegations of these toys being dangerous, any toy (even the safest toy) can be a hazard under certain conditions. I would not purchase these toys for the three and under age group, as there are small parts and the wheels under the hamsters are strong and could pinch little fingers, but otherwise I think these toys are wonderful!

My daughter was very happy when she unwrapped her birthday present.She knew how hard they were to get,only thing she wanted to play with i had the fun house hamsteer was very slow unable to use ball it had to be defective replaced with new batteries did not work all.It had to be a defective one
