You get what you pay for January 2, 2010 B. Anderson (Seattle, WA) At 3 bucks a pair, you simply can't expect nice, comfortable socks. These aren't UNcomfortable, but they don't compare to $10/pair socks like SmartWool, etc. They are quite thin and insubstantial in comparison. I wish I hadn't bought them; now I have 12 pairs of socks that I will probably just give to GoodWill.
Can't rate them 'no stars' December 31, 2009 InfernalMachine (CA, USA) 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
First, yes, I bought them properly sized.
Second, these are horrible socks, they don't stay up, VERY baggy/loose in the toe region and generally not a good fit for *my* foot.
Buyer beware.
not 100% cotton November 2, 2009 S. Diez 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
If you are looking for 100% cotton socks, these are not.
I was looking for 100% cotton socks and the search returned this product as a "related product". I wrongly assumed that these were 100% cotton socks. They are not, they are 86% cotton. I think maybe Amazon should include this information in a clearer way.
I am alergic to some of the materials generally used in socks, so I generally cannot wear anything that is not 100% cotton (or very similar). As 86% is still high I tried them and so far I have not experienced problems.
Pleasantly Surprised October 29, 2009 S. J. Boddu 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I don't like buying socks from the store these days because they are expensive. So being the frugal, sharp consumer that I am, I rolled the dice with a pair of these Gold Toes. They turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. Dressy enough to wear to work and comfortable enough to wear later in the night for my workout at the gym.
I think you get what you pay September 15, 2009 Chavalit Viwatvarin (Australia) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's quite a good quality sock for 3 dollar per pair... probably the best value for money sock but not the best sock that I will use for running for 5 k or more... it's more like every day working socks.... what can you expect for 3 dollar per pair... if u expect something better for running I suggest you buy thorlo thick running socks the best socks that I have been using it for a while.
